Jennifer Hart is an Associate Professor of History at Wayne State University, where she teaches courses in African History, World History, the History of Technology, Urban History, Digital Humanities, and History Communication. Her first book, Ghana on the Go: African Mobility in the Age of Motor Transportation (Indiana University Press, 2016), was a finalist for the African Studies Association Book prize in 2017. An active public scholar, Hart has published in a wide variety of venues, including Washington Post, Africa is a Country, The Conversation, Nursing Clio, Clio and the Contemporary, the Metropole, and History@Work, and she is active on a number of digital platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, and her own blog. Her work also appears in numerous journals and edited collections, including most recently Technology and Culture.
