Dr. Azumah is the founding director of The Sanneh Institute, currently Visiting Professor at Yale Divinity School and Presidential Visiting Fellow of Yale University.
Formation of The Sanneh Institute at the University of Ghana was announced by the Yale MacMillan Center in the fall of 2018. The institute is name for the late for Prof. Lamin Sanneh, D. Willis James Professor of Missions and World Christianity at Yale Divinity School and a professor of History at Yale University, as a tribute to his distinguished contribution to scholarship on the missions and histories of Islam and Christianity in Africa.
The lecture will shed light on the mission of the new institute and some reflections from the study on the intersections between the mosque, the church and the academy in West Africa.
