Discourse on African knowledge systems has focused mainly on its conceptual parameters, legitimacy and the quest for knowledge democracy. This has been at the expense of dialogue that utilizes this knowledge to address challenges facing African nations. This conference seeks to convene Africanist scholars across disciplines to discuss novel conceptual frameworks in epistemology studies and paths for practical application of African knowledge.
